PUBS IN IRELAND
There are many historic pubs in the areas that we visit on the Irish Pub & Folk Tour.
The Best Pub Grub:
In Ireland, the Pub is the hub of social life. In country areas the pub and the Sunday mass are the two main forums for the exchange of Sunday news. The tradition of hospitality to strangers persists in rural Ireland, not just because it was a cornerstone of ancient Gaelic culture, but also because visitors carry in precious non-local news. With the advent of stricter drink-driving lows, food has assumed a larger role in the pub, and country pubs, in particular, are enticing visitors with home cooking that showcases Ireland’s excellent seafood, produce and other local foods.
